Get online photo sharing powered by private P2P
When you share photos with one or more of your contacts (friends, family, colleagues, etc.), copies (low resolution) of your photos are automatically transferred to all authorized contacts through your private PixVillage P2P network. The authorized contacts can browse the shared photos within seconds.
PixVillage P2P system has many other advantages:
- Fast photo transfer: When a user shares photos with 10 contacts, photos are usually transferred once instead of ten times. Automatic transfers within the ten other contacts will complete the transfers.
- Adaptation to users bandwidth: Most users have a larger bandwidth for download than for upload. With P2P, the photo spreading is automatically adapted to each user upload and download bandwidth.

Sharing multiple photo formats
With PixVillage, you can share photos of different file formats. The current version of PixVillage is compatible with the following formats (more formats will be added in the future):
- .JPG, .JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group).
- .BMP (Windows Bitmap).
- .GIF (Compuserve GIF).
- .PNG (Portable Network Graphics).
- .TIF, .TIFF (Adobe Tagged Image File Format).
Share your photos in an event
With PixVillage, you share your photos sorted by event (Tom's Wedding Party, Wendy's Birthday, etc.). For each event, you select contacts who will have access to it. You can also create groups to easily manage your contacts access rights: Family group, Friends group, etc. Then online photo sharing is automatically managed by PixVillage!
Contact list and rights management
With PixVillage, you invite contacts to see your photos. They just have to register and you can see them in your contact list. For each shared event, you select which contact will have access to it. You can also create groups of contacts to optimize rights management.
Photos are automatically sorted
Within PixVillage, your own photos and your friends photos (shared for you by your contacts) are automatically sorted by calendar dates. If you have access to many shared photos, you can group photos by month and year.
Send instant messages
Within PixVillage, you can send instant messages to your connected friends and chat about the shared photos.
